Compliment Your Child DAILY!

Kids respond so much better to praise than criticism. Yet we often fail to realize just how powerful a little compliment can be. Build their self-esteem and help them WANT to contribute more to the family by giving daily compliments. Make it a game for yourself so that you ensure you've given them often enough. Each morning, set aside 5 pennies, pebbles, or small item of your choice. Each time you give your child a compliment, move one of the coins/pebbles, etc. to a jar. Make sure you end your day with the 5 pieces in the jar!
